Before the Job — Getting It Right From the Start

Free On-Site Assessment

Every project begins with a free on-site assessment of your surface conditions. We look at your walls, ceilings, and identify any problem areas such as mould, white patches, peeling paint, etc and propose a painting system tailored to your home's specific needs.

We diagnose all surface issues so they can be rectified before the paint goes on. At Asher, we believe in nipping problems in the bud instead of just covering them up. 

A Clear Written Quotation

Once we understand your home's needs, we provide a detailed written quotation that clearly sets out the full scope of work. What's included, what products will be used, and what the final cost will be — all in writing, so there are no surprises at the end when you receive your invoice.

Paint Model and Colour Selection

On job confirmation, we walk you through your paint model and colour options. We also offer actual paint swatches for you to test in your home, under your lighting — because colours can look different on a catalogue than they do on your walls due to your home lighting. We want you to love the result before we even pick up a brush.

On the Day — The Asher Painting Process

1️⃣ Workstation Setup & Floor Protection — We begin every job by setting up our workstation properly and laying covered pathways to protect your floors from any mess from dripping paint. From the moment our team arrives, your home is treated with care.

2️⃣ Furniture Moving & Wrapping — We move your furniture and cover furniture and fittings with protective sheets to keep your belongings clean and safe. Dust and splatter are kept under control throughout — so you're not left with a horrible mess and cleanup job after we're done.

3️⃣ Repairs & Patchwork — This is a step where many paint jobs fall short. Our standard painting package includes basic surface repairs. We patch up hairline cracks and drill holes so your walls look good again. For more severe repairs, we offer plastering services too.  

4️⃣ Machine Sanding — We use a sanding machine to exfoliate your walls — smoothing out the surface to prepare for the subsequent coatings. Our machine comes with a vacuum attachment to trap dust and minimise airborne particles in your home.

5️⃣ Sealer Application — A coat of sealer is applied before painting begins. Sealer helps the paint adhere better to the surface and is essential for long-lasting paintwork. 

6️⃣Two Coats of Paint — Two full coats of your chosen paint colour for a beautiful finish. No shortcuts, no paint dilution or single-coat finishes dressed up as two.

7️⃣ QC Check & Touch-Ups  — A team leader conducts a quality control check across all painted surfaces. Any areas that need touching up are addressed before we consider the job done. 

8️⃣ Reinstatement & Housekeeping  — Once the QC check is complete, we carefully reinstate all furniture back to their original positions and conduct a basic cleanup of the work area. Every item is handled with the same care and respect we'd want shown in our own homes.
